Growing Support

I have been very encouraged by the amount of positive encouragement that we are getting on the line. I haven't been counting but it sure feels like there have been more people honking, waving and giving the thumbs-up everyday. Lets hope that at least a few of those people are contacting the school board members.

I was also really pleased at the overwhelming positive support. We've received tons of treats, thank yous, honks, and personal handshakes. It's been wonderful, even at the ESC.

While having lunch at Chipotle's today after picketing duty, I had an incredible experience. The place was VERY busy, with lots of teachers and their pickets, and LOTS of buisness people in their suits. I was the last from our group to finish, and as I gathered things together, and stood to leave, a group of 6-7 high school boys who were in line began to applaud. I looked at them, and realized they were applauding ME! The thank yous flew to me from smiling gentlemen...some of your current students and community members of Bellevue. I realized only after I left that a number had been some of my library students in elementary school! I shall never forget that experience! What a great day!

That is what makes up for what we don't get in $$.
