My school has responded much better to not signing out for breaks--taking breaks as they please--in fact, it seems like they are not even taking all their break time. We are adults and we are more willing do do more and to show up and do what's right when it's a choice rather than forced. We've had almost 100% attendance and people have been happy to participate.
